What are your responsibilities?

As a Business Controller, you will strengthen the Finance Europe team, serving as a key partner to local plant managers in one of our production facilities in Belgium, France, United Kingdom, Poland, Croatia and Spain. As a business controller, you take ownership over following responsibilities:

  • Determine and monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Participate in the standard costing process, critically analyze deviations between actual and standard costs and take corrective actions. Act as main point of contact for cost simulations, costing issues and costing support for other regions.
  • Report on and analyze production KPIs to come to actionable insights.
  • Prepare financial plans and forecasts in liaison with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead various projects to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop business cases and oversee capital expenditure.
  • Critically analyze manufacturing and handling & distribution costs and explain monthly production performance.
  • Participate in business review meetings with management, ensuring alignment and performance optimization.

Who are we looking for?

  • Master’s degree in economics or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in controlling and/or financial audit or a young graduate. 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a flair for numbers.
  • IT literate. Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Proactive, flexible and results driven.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Dutch and English. French is an added value. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
